Voiceroute announces Druid 1.3 at OSCON 2008 - Unified Communications

Norwalk CT, 21 July 2008 - Voiceroute announces version 1.3 of Druid, the innovative open source unified communications platform for IP telephony, mobile, IM desktop and web application integration at OSCON 2008. Druid 1.3 includes several significant new features like the launch of Druid SOAP API, language internationalization support for German French and mobile bridging with auto-attendant functionality. Voiceroute will be demoing Druid at booth #221 in the OSCON 2008 exhibition hall from 23-24 July 2008.

New features of Druid include:

  • Druid SOAP API – the first Open SOAP interface framework for third party developers to develop feature rich unified communications applications based on top of Druid.

  • Mobile bridging with auto-attendant support - when receiving a mobile bridged call, you will be prompted to accept the call before taking the call. This is to prevent mobile provider voicemail from automatically answering the call, and forcing the use of Druid voicemail.

Druid is built on top of other proven open source projects such as Asterisk, Dojo toolkit (http://www.dojotoolkit.org), Dovecot and Jabber. Druid is a rich AJAX-based Unified Communications application that enable enterprises to easily deploy IP communications; plug and play IP telephony, unified mailbox (voicemails & faxes), mobile phone and instant messaging.
