Druid is the world's leading Open Source Unified IP Communications application that unifies plug and play IP telephony, Instant Messaging, mobile phone, faxing and other communications media in an easy to deploy and useful platform. Druid allows enterprises, and integrators to deploy easily high end unified communications services using off the shelve commodity hardware and IP phones. Druid was developed by

  • Vikram Rangnekar (vikram at voiceroute dot net)
  • Ming Yong (ming at voiceroute dot net)
  • Navin Kumar (navin at voiceroute dot net)
  • Voiceroute designed Druid from the ground up to be a Unified Communications software platform that organizations could easily deploy and use for their IP communications. Users now have unified logins to access their Voicemail, IMAP, IM, web-portal, mobile-portal and softphone through a single login. Extensions in Druid are flexible and can be attached to any phone at will. Deploying phones in a Druid environment is extremely simple, just plug the phone into the network and it will be automatically detected and configured. All your faxes and voicemail can be accessed though an IMAP server so you an use Outlook or any other email client to check your voicemail and faxes along with your emails.

Druid OSE is a platform and one that we believe in. We have many powerful features planned for Druid and are working hard along with the community to build the best unified communications solution available in the world.

We like to thank the Dojo Toolkit Project and the Asterisk Project for their hard-work and for all the great software that they have developed.
